I found two very powerful testimonies about the upcoming film so I saved them to my webspace, here are the links if you care to read them:
http://www.pdai.org/james/passion_testimonials.htm

Here's the link to the official website:
http://www.thepassionofthechrist.com
And news about it:
http://www.thepassionofthechrist.com/la ... s/news.php
The official website will send you 50 posters and billions of other small stuff like that for free (+S&H) if you request them. I thought that was pretty neat.

And a third party website with a ton of information:
http://www.passion-movie.com

It's going to be in theaters on February 25th (Ash Wednesday, the Wednesday before Easter). Here's the official poster for the movie:

Who is only directing and paying for the whole thing [out of his own pocket mind you] - not acting in it.

I actually wrote an article about the passion of christ a few weeks ago for my theology class. Sounds like an interesting movie. Some people fear that the movie will blame the jewish people for what happened to christ - leading to antisemitism and hate.

While that may be true, you're always going to have some antisemitism, and there will always be people just looking to start trouble. Some of those people who cry "antisemitism!!" all day long should grow a thicker skin.

I hate subtitles as well, but for an entirely different reason.

Since I live in The Netherlands, every English movie, series or talkshow has dutch subtitles.

As you can see, my english is quite good, so the subtitles only distract me. I always watch movies on DVD without subtitles, or if the audio isn't that good, I'll compromise with english subtitles.

English is a beautiful and elegant language; especially compared to dutch. You can convey a concept or idea with a single word in English, something you usually can't in dutch. So as a result, most things don't translate well - leading to my hatred for subtitles :D
