Bush Senior said that same thing. I remember in 8th grade everyone was getting all excited because he said he was going to send men back to the moon and the whole space station thing. It didn't happen.

although some people may say the money could be better spent on things closer to home. It would be mighty kool if they started a manned missiont to mars!

But what if the men who went to mars went out of satellite contact and were eaten by an evil race of Mars aliens and their ship floats back into our atmosphere 30 years later!? And what if the alien spores were on the ship, and it landed, and all the people of earth got infected and turned on each other!?

Okay seriously, I think we need to spend money on earth, doing something worthwhile, instead of spending trillions on an expidition that will prove Mars is a big red rock.

just another reason why bush is a moron. he was probably smoking pot in the oval office one afternoon when he thought up this idea. why the fuck do we need to spend billions of dollars to go to the moon when we have a perfectly good and new spacestation that we need to use. we can't sell it back. i mean there aren't any used space station dealers.
