well with the elp of my diagram I hope to explain my problem. pc 1 and 2 are connected on a wired network that shares my dial up net access. I recently got a wifi access point that shares my net to an upstairs pc that has a usb wifi dongle. my ppc can connect to the net when its near the access point, but the range is not enough when it is by pc 3.

so is there anyway I can connect to the net through pc 3 which gets its net access throgh the wifi access point downstairs?

cheers guys

You could get a larger antenna for your router. An omnidirectional antenna probably would cost around 30 bucks and should extend your wifi accesspoint or card's range.

Sponge is right though, PPC wifi doesnt got nearly as far since it cant afford to output that much power.
