Get Lindows Developer Edition FREE! I didn't believe it at first, but here's the link: http://info.lindows.com/GoogleDay/

The offer is only today, pretty incredible. 60 dollar deal, downloading it right now, seems interesting. I'll prolly partition my laptop and try a dual boot.

Will lindows work for my home game server? I know it's meant for home applications, but still i figured since it's Linux based it would work okay.

Maybe it didn't set up your GFX-card/monitor correctly at setup?
You cold check your XF86Config-4 file to see if everything seems to have been detected.
The "EDITING YOUR XF86CONFIG FILE" section in this file has info on how to find the config file. I'm not exactly a linux expert myself, so I might be on the wrong track here...
Maybe the lindows support section has some info too.

What video card do you have?

Anyways, I recommend you try Mandrake 9.2 instead. Much less bullshit involved. If I want Windows, I boot to windows.

I've got a Geforce 3 ti 200 - and I've never had any problems with Mandrake 9.2

When trying to install the developers edition for Lindows (that's the free version) it just installs the base system, I think you have to configure everything manually :( - I've removed it from my computer and will use Mandrake 9.2...
