I've had up to 12 computers in one room at a time when friends bring over their computers. We go through so much chips and soda its surreal.

I've only got one comp here in my student village apartment.

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
256 MB DDR333
80+20GB HDD
2 * 17" CRT monitors.
A university internet connection ;)

Back at home there are more comps...
HP Omnibook XE3 (a fine thing, except the battery is almost dead).
A Compaq Deskpro (233MHz I think) used as a server machine running FreeBSD.
Two other comps (which I don't really own myself, but my parents do).
Home connection: ADSL 2048/512

Here's the apartment setup of one single computer:

And here's a pic of an important part of my network ;)

Refractor: Damn. And one lurking at an ISP too...

In all seriousness, why do you guys have so many computers? Is it so that you can play multiplayer games with many people within your own network, or do you just upgrade computers frequently and just keep the old ones around? Up untill a month ago, I had used the same computer for literally thirteen years, making upgrades every once in a while. My laptop is a dell inspiron 5100. Although I miss the old one for sentimental values, it sure feels good to go from a 233 Mhz P1/32 MB RAM/Original video card (from 13 years ago) running Win98 to a 2.4 GHz P4/256 MB RAM/64 MB video card running windows xp.
