I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 with 64MB of RAM. I'm planning to upgrade so I search on Dell's site and find this 128MB for $51.26



But, a further search on the manufacturer part number listed: MT8LSDT1664HG10EB1 found this 128MB for $35.06



The only difference appears to be the system they target, and yet Dell is pricing them differently. I admit I don't know much about this stuff, but if the tech specs are the same and the part number is the same, isn't it the same product?

The specs are identical on the RAM. I think that usually Dell prices upgrades for their business machines at a lower price than the non-business machines. That might be the reaseon.

But yeah, that RAM should work in your laptop.
