One DIMM is good if you plan on upgrading the memory later.

Definitely get a wireless network card built in, Centrino is good. There's really no point in not getting it, it's like $30 more or something ridiculous. I'd suggest getting atleast 512MB of RAM, and in single DIMM so you can upgrade later. I'd highly suggest a TabletPC, though. I got my TabletPC nearly maxed out a year ago with the docking station for about $2300. BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT for college. No more pens, no more paper. It's great, it really is.
