I'm having a rough time in high school, primarily because it isn't challenging and I can't stand getting up at 7 AM. I hate the people there, and I can't stand the teachers, but more importantly,
I'm not being challenged.
I don't want to go to a community college; I just want to self-school myself.
I've been reading up at:
http://parents.berkeley.edu/advice/scho ... tives.html
Ideally, I would want to self-educate myself, and if I ran into any problems I would visit a tutor. After maybe 2 years, I would take a high school proficiency exam and get my degree.
I'm wondering how I would be able to do this, and how I could possibly convince my parents to let me make my own choices. I want to suceed and go to college, but I feel like I'll die trying at the rate I'm going.
I just need something...OTHER than high school.
Only serious answers, and I don't want to hear any BS about "You're only a depressed teenager with no friends, rough it out."
This is the real Alex.
