Far Cry help

can anyone tell me why Far cry runs soo slow like 10fps on my pc it
has 2.6 Ghz/512k/800 FSB (HT), XFX Geforce FX 5200 128 mb, 512 mb of pc 2700 (333 Mhz) ram im so confused

What kind of settings are you running it at? It should be enough to at least run it at a decent speed...

Unfortunately, Far Cry really needs as much as you can give it. I run it on a 4mhz rig, with 512 mb ram and a 256 mb card - and I still have the occasional slowdown.

It anoys me how the advetise graphics cards, people end up thinking they have a really fast card when the fact is it should have a big SLOW printed on the box.
