Discontinue? I hope prices fall to something less than $1000. If you think about it...it has no keyboard, no CD-ROM, etc. What were they thinking? The only positives about it is very small (but not to put into your pocket---maybe a backpack), and has a touch screen...other than that, who would use it? I think the OQO model 1 seems cooler...but I won't buy it for $2000. Maybe for less than $1000, then I MIGHT.

I know I know, he's banned, but I want to reply :).

The u70 DID make it to Japan, but not in the retail stores. It was a sony-style only product. the u50, however, is available in stores. Funny enough, the u70 sells better (better specs), and now that it's official that Sony dropped the u50 line (they didn't mention the u70, so there's hope!), prices of the u70 may drop a bit.

The OQO's final price is now known (99% sure). the device is going to sell, starting next month, for $1899 according to multiple sources. Way to expensive, if you consider what it's capable of (8mb graphics card?!?!). With the FlipStart coming Q1 next year, and devices like the u70 and other subnotebooks, I sure hope they will start to drop prices...
