Try eMule or Bittorent.

I tried to use BitTorrent but none of the torrents worked. I know that there are much better programs than Kazaa (my favorite is Soulseek), but they're all blocked here, so I'm forced by necessity.

Maybe I'll try the one Bjorn suggested.

ok, download DC++ and connect to a.i2hub.com:8080

Your nick has to be [College]name

For example, I got to Rochester Institute of Technology so my nick on the hub is [RIT]Jurgen

Then you just connect, make sure you are sharing at least 1gb of stuff, and you can download from other people who are on internet2. BUT, you have to be on your schools network thats connected to an internet2 backbone inorder to connect to the hub, ie you have to be on campus.

http://schools.i2hub.com/ has what you would put for college on your nick. It also has a list of all colleges that can connect to the internet2 hub.

I've searched for it, browsed the faq, installed the thing and set it up... It looks quite complicated to use. From what I can tell, it's kind of like IRC-meets-kazaa. I don't want to 'chat' or 'open slots' - I just want to search for and download shit. I'm not looking for a freaking dating service.

So for now, I'm sticking with Shareaza and IRC.
