Strangest thing though... I got the standard version, with just HL2 and CS:S but it's on DVD... And I also got a free T-shirt with it, which they were just giving away to customers

Aghhh Fuck! Their goddamn servers are overloaded and can't handle my registration. I was able to register an account, but now all I see is 'subscription pending' and that they're 'sorry for any inconvenience'

Do I look like I fucking care that they're sorry? INSTALL SOME MORE GODDAMN SERVERS!!!

I restarted steam as someone suggested, which worked! It's unlocking my game files right now, so I hope I can play it soon.

OMFG I tried and still am trying to get the game via steam. IT TOOK THE WHOLE *beep*'n DAY TO DOWNLOAD IT AND GUESS WHAT, THE *beep*ing THING FROZE ON LOADING SCREEN!!!
Ah well. Opened up the ports and trying the download again. I just hope it works and I am Definately not going to go to the store to buy one Because I bought it over steam and our internet is very, Very, VERY slow because of some stupid thing with the ISP. When it started out, it said something like "Time Remaining: 1435 minuets, 55 seconds."

ANY help would be much appreciated. On the internet, it said that this was a fairly common problem. If you bought HL2 over steam, how well did it go?

Mine went skippy. It preloaded in about a day (IIRC) and unlocked in about fifteen minutes.

I ordered it over Steam. It went fine for me. Preloaded in a day as well. I unlocked it over Steam the hour it came out in about 15 mins too.

Beat it earlier today. Disappointing ending as figured.
