Snoring Roommate

Snoring Roommate

Postby Warren » Jan 17, 2005 @ 6:50pm

So yeah...I have a new roommate, and he snores ridiculously loud with all the phlegm and mucus noises and it's driving me nuts. He knows he does it but hasn't done anything to stop it. I haven't gotten even a single consistent hour of sleep in over a week, and I'm really starting to feel it, not being able to talk as well and stumbling my speech. What can I do?? Last night was absolute hell, I even tried sleeping on the couch and that was even worse. At about 4:00AM I got so pissed off that I got up and started beating the crap out of my pillow. He woke up and looked at me and I said "You've been snoring for 3 hours!" and he was like "oh". Then went back to sleep and started his gargling snot sounds again. It's not just the volume, it's the sound of it, I'm extremely squeamish with blood and stuff, and his gargling totally grosses me out. Don't say to wear earplugs, I don't like putting things in my ears (not even earphones). Today I actually went to my mentor's room at 11 and slept in his bed (just slothed in and fell on his bed). He kicked me out though, he was going to lunch.

Ouch... that sucks Warren... You might try giving him some OTC no-snore medicine and see if that helps. Other than that, the only other alternative that doesn't involve stabbing him would be to wear some *gasp* earplugs.

Do I that, but he falls asleep in like 15 seconds while I take at least 15 minutes.
