If you're getting anything other than a full-blown gaming laptop, I don't see the point. How do you know the quality of the tech support or the reliability, just to save a few bucks?

i'm my own tech support.....so that doesnt really matter all that much. As long as the thing doesnt fall apart, there shouldnt be too much of a problem. I just wish they had Dell's Accidental Damage warranty. O well, I'll risk the cash amount for something that feature packed. I can get bascially the same computer from them as I could from dell for 1000 cheaper......thats more then a few dollars.

I have a cyber power desktop I bought freshman year. It was great at the time, still is... but my ibook has become the only computer I use. The price is great, the tech support was pretty good in my experience, and they generally make pretty nice looking systems. I haven't looked at their laptops cause I would never buy a windows laptop, but I'm sure they're not too bad if they're comparable to the desktops they sell.
