...because you're too damned poor to buy another computer. Anyway, my 15" powerbook G4 just shipped from Shanghai. I got a pretty good deal on it.

• 1GB DDR333 SDRAM - 2x512 SO-DIMMs
• 100GB Ultra ATA drive @ 5400 rpm
• 8x SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)
• 1.67GHz PowerPC G4 w/128MB VRAM dual
• AirPort Extreme Card
• Backlit Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English
• AppleCare Protection Plan for PowerBook (w/ or w/o Display)
• ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
• 15.2-inch TFT Display

It ended up costing 2428 total, which I didn't think was bad at all. And I've already ordered a for it from RadTech USA. And as soon as I get it I'm prolly going to pick up an iSight, iCurve, Final Cut Pro, and a game...I haven't decided what one yet.

If anybody tries to call you square
You just look 'em in the eye, tell 'em you don't care!
If you don't want to be a crazy fool
You better study real hard and stay in school!

No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive their garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick. No, I've never seen that.

Seriously guys, you can't compare Mac and Windows... There's just no way. Both systems have a lot of plus points (yes, this is me :D) and both have downsides. For games, Windows is a definate go (besides consoles that is, but you didn't hear this from me), and if you're more interested in computers 'just' for work, school, video/audio editing, (web)design or something similar to that, get a fancy mac!

Question, did any of you 'total Windows freaks' watch those 'introduction' movies on apple's site about OSX 10.4? Man those animations are slick! The widgets stuff (although ) is really nicely animated (drop a widget and it makes a splash effect! Kickass!).

I think I gave just about enough info to start a flame war, so if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna step aside to get a nice view :D.

What're you trying to do, recreate the big bang or something? Besides, IIRC the x86 is faster for computational stuff anyway.
