This is evidenced by things as obvious as starting conversations about Quantum Theory as much as by simple things like revelling in correcting each others grammar.

Because of this, and perhaps due to our inherent convictions, pontification runs rampant. Some would say you should never discuss Religion or Politics, I would say you should discuss them as often as possible. Debate, heated or otherwise, is the doorway to higher understanding and growth.

If someone bashes a religion and we merely dismiss it as zealotry, we miss an opportunity to learn and teach. This goes for race and politics as well.

I read the locked thread that Paul started, and I wanted to hop into it, but I was too late. However I did notice some good points stuck in between the name caling and jibing. It is my humble oppinion that while PM is not a forum for racism and general disregard for people's sympathies, it is, on occasion, a good place to share world views. This is what makes us a community more than just another site.

Perhaps this is not such a "quick point."
