check out these new powermacs!!

coming in 1 month!!
1.0 GHz, 1.2 GHz, and dual-1.4 GHz G4's
500mhz RapiodIO bus.(400 maybe, but dunno)
DDR 333 MHZ
ATA 133 support
4 64 bit PCI
1 AGP
Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire2, USB2
60, 80, and 120 GB drives
New Superdrive, and faster CDRW.
Built-in Bluetooth
$1599, $2299, and $3299.

ohh yeah, and they have a 500mhz(400 maybe) RapidIO bus, faster L3 cache, presumably 700mhz and 2mb. Geforce 4(apple is coming out with a special dual GPU Geforce 4 for macs only, theoritically twice as fast as a Ti 4600, probally 3 times though, since it has way more mem)

these things are crazy, and built in blue tooth to boot, meaning, think you could sync your iPaq or PocketPC with bluetooth wirelessly all the time!! and OS X.2 is going to be sick!, support for almost all printers, new scanner support. Built in BlueTooth(to compliment the rumored wireless Apple 2 button!!!! Pro Mouse, and wireless Keyboard)
Not to mention, the New display engine, Quartz Extreme, which is incredibly optimized for Video cards with 32mb RAM, since it fully utilizes GPUS, and graphics cards, actually making it much much faster, so for all of you mac users who have been complaining about IE loading slow in OS X, dont worry, no longer!!. I think OSX.2 with these new PowerMacs will be crazy!!, also expect new iMac with 1ghz + Geforce 4 MX 64mb DDR

OH MY GOD 2 BUTTON MOUSE AND A FAST PROCESSOR DEAR LORD EVERYONE BUY MACS NOW!!!!!

You neglect to mention that 75% of the marketshare seems to prefer PC's.

It's not like wintel companies aren't gonna release fast computers. Not to mention macs are, generally, more expensive. [/b]

wow. GF4MX, you say? Too bad my 1.5 year-old GF2Ultra beats that.

That 2-button mouse thing is pretty funny, though.

One question: Is the processor 64-bit?

"and OS X.2 is going to be sick!" I have got to say that this is a very funny statement, but only because I'm easily amused.

No, really. I like Macs sometimes, but only some of the very recent hardware, and not that much, either. I don't like the OS because pre-OS X really sucked and Apple couldn't make a decent OS so they had to get a Unix core for OS X.

Personally, I'm waiting for the 8-way multiprocessing 2.4 GHz 64-bit Sledgehammers with a lot of cache and hypertransport technology and dual DDR400 and like AGP 8x or something. I wonder what GF5 is going to be like... Yeah, I am not going to go for the best system out there until like 6 months to a year. That is my dream-machine, but the GF5 isn't even rumored yet, so I might go for the GF4 4600. Then again, I am a POV-Ray freak, and photons and focal-blur and iso-furfaces are out and they gobble up CPU time... "3d Accelerators!?! We don't need no stinkin' accelerators!!!"

I need to rebuild my current system, a little, though. I fried my Motherboard and/or my CPU (1.2 GHz TBird) a while ago.
