When I first got into my line of work, I used to get minor radiation poisoning from working so many hours on end.

You'll know when you have it, because the symptoms are:
Nausea
Dizziness
and Exhaustion

and oh yea, all that hits you at once like a punch in the face. It's horrible, I fall to the floor and roll away from my desk (no joke) and lay on the ground for up to 30 minutes.

Nowadays I take more breaks from the 'puter during projects as recommended by the Doc. Like anyone on a deadline, there are projects when you literally don't move from your desk for days. I now take 15 minutes off as a break per hour or two away from the monitor and office for that matter.

An interesting side note for those who have multiple monitors in their arrangement.

Make sure not to have the back of any monitor aimed in your general direction. All of the shielding is for the user up front, and therefore, the rear end is left open to whatever reflects back and out into your room.

It scares me to think of how future humans will look back on us and laugh at how we played with electron guns so close to our faces and what not. In the same light as us looking back on inventions like the Xray. Sure, medical purposes were good, but for god's sake, using it to make your tomatoes grow as big as your head just aint right (and neither is eating it). No wonder the inventors died from it.

Sorry for the rant, had some watermelon saki, talk about smoooooooth...
