I just got the Lord of the Rings collection and the Ender's game series. I wanted to read LOTR before the movies came out and I successfuly read one and two before the first movie came out, I'm reading #3 right now. I've been jumping around in different series, I'm reading The restaurant at the end of the universe and the return of the king.

Screw reading the LOTR e-books, I just ripped the Fellowship of the Ring DVD and watched it in 45-minute installments during study hall this week

The books are so much better though. Not saying the movie is bad, I love the movie, it's one of my all time favorites. But still the books are better. They just left out a lot in the movie.

I know... I'm the same with Harry Potter. I was watching it and I realized that I can detect every single thing that's been changed from the book, even if it's a single word.
And in LOTR, I can't believe the left out Tom Bombadil!

Yeah the whole part with Tom Bombadil was one of my favorite parts of the book I was so dissapointed that it was not in the movie

Haven't seen the trailer yet, only seen the 10 minute preview on the Fellowship DVD.
