You see, there's this mirror and there's a tree about 50 yards away and a mailbox a foot away from the mirror.
The light reflecting off of the tree and mailbox, different distances from the mirror, hit the mirror. But then the light will reflect off of the mirror to your eye, but the light reflecting from the mirror to your eye is the same distance, no matter how far they themselves are away from the mirror. You see, the image from the mirror to your eye should be flat, just like the image from a piece of paper, because the light from the mirror to your eye is the exact same distances no matter how far away an object in a mirror is from the mirror itself.
I'll draw a picture for you if you need it, but I think that explains it pretty well. The distance from the mirror to your eye is the same across the entire mirror no matter how far away the objects in the mirror are from the mirror... do you get it?
This is why I think that mirrors are dimensional portals. There is a Z depth to mirrors when there shouldn't be.
