AFAIK, the original OS is Linux too (although most likely a very limited version).

It would be cool to hack it to have a real Linux distro (are there any ARM-specific ones?), install a hard drive (I have a spare 2.5" 5 gig) and add an ISA 10BaseT card.

Anyone know what clock speed the ARM runs on?

The single ISA slot should be enough for a network card; it has serial and parallel ports but those probably wouldn't be very useful for expansion. I don't think anything beyond a network card is needed for this.
