under a student protection law, you have the right to appeal the decision, and have it taken to the administrator. A week is too long to have something in their posession though. I'm sure you could have got the teacher into a LOT of trouble.

I would have talked to her, convinced her that I wouldn't use it in class again if she let me have it back at the end of the class, but that I need it for my other classes so I WILL be bringing it, although not use it!

well...in ct when ever a company takes your product in for repair they have to extend the warenty by the amount of days not in your possession.
