Sky Car Moller M400

Sky Car Moller M400

Looks like flying cars are finally here. They say that we could be driving these things within 18 months, but it depends on the government providing airial highway regulations and the such.

Check it out, it's pretty interesting. 350MPH+ cruising speed with 25 mpg. That's PRETTY GOOD, except those miles will go pretty fast and so will the tank :/

Has three redundant backup computers to control and maintain stability, no flipping over.

65 dba
Operation ceiling 29,000 ft. (about 5 miles up if I'm not mistaken.)

... oh well, you guys can read it. My battery is almost dead and I forgot my power cable at home. L8r

Looks interesting... however, I doubt it will ever be approved for mass usage. Way too unsafe... imagine someone crashing into your house at 400 mph.

Anyone who reads Clive Cussler found out about this three years ago ;)
Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

Ya... I just saw it on the Weather Channel an hour ago so decided to post about it. Some group of people in Israel made a pretty similar one seperately around the same time.

It flies up to 29,000 feet off the ground. I don't think ANYONE's house or ANY BUILDING AT ALL is 5 miles up into the air.
Plus it's got tons of computer equipement on it, you barely even touch the controls.

But I think the American people aren't smart enough to be able to use this kind of thing.

yeah, I can see it now:

Stupid American Jamoke 1:"Hey harry, watcha think this here big red button does?

SAJ 2:"Eayjayct hmm, bet it's some kinda built in sexual pleasure thang"

SAJ 1:"That sounds nice, da ol' woman aint been given me none here latelies."

SAJ 2 Pushes large red eject button. Seconds later both are ejected from the flying car. Car lands on top of AOL's headquarters, destroying thousands of spam-like CD's...and a couple of worthless AOL employees.

I think the real problem with these would occur when Microsoft starts producing these, because we all know that anything MS designs is prone to crashing
