Top 10 List

Postby sandmann » Nov 8, 2002 @ 3:33am

I'm bored. I want to make a top ten list. So I'll do it for music. Do it for whatever you want. I know this has been done before.

1 Modest Mouse - Lonesome Crowded West (indie rock)
2 Coldplay - Parachutes (brit pop)
3 The Weakerthans - Left and Leaving (power pop)
4 Modest Mouse - This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About (indie rock)
5 Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin (indie pop)
6 The Weakerthans - Fallow (power pop)
7 At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command (harder indie rock)
8 Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come (punk/political hardcore)
9 Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (indie pop)
10 Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On (indie rock)
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.

Sandmann... have you listened to Coldplay's latest CD at all? I have it and I love it... Their previous CD with parachutes on it is cool too.

Lifehouse - Stanley Climbfall is another sweet CD..

Yeah, I've bought quite a few CDs lately, and those 2 are by far my most favourite.

U2 Electrical Storm/New York Single is good... But I don't think I'll buy the best of 1990-2000 U2 CD.

Lifehouse, Coldplay, U2... hmm... I guess I like British Rock :)

At the drive in broke up you know, the lead singer left and the band went on to become sparta. Kinda like RATM, though sparta is a cooler name than audioslave. Check em out, very good cd. And if you liked ATDI, thursday is good too.

Soft music is bad for the ears.

Top 10 fast food restraunts:

1. Sub Way (healthy and my favorite)

2. Taco Time (better than Taco Bell in my opinion)

3. Burger King (whoppers are goooood)

4. Mac Donalds (eat sparingly like BK, but when I do go, Big Macs and Chicken sandwiches are da bomb)

5. Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) (Good food, but way too much fat. As with BK and MD, eat sparingly)

6. Wendy's (I like their fries)

7. Carl's Junior (got to try that 6 dollar burger)

8. Taco Bell (meh, it's ok. I liked it better when they had frozen yogurt)

9. Jack in the Box (funny commercials, but just ok food)

10. Arby's (I'm not a big fan of hot sandwiches, but they are ok once or twice a year)

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

Yeah Chris, I have the new one. Not nearly as good as Parachutes, but still an excellent CD. In My Place is one of their greatest songs. I also love the Scientist, and second half of the CD especially.

Sponge, other people seem to be enjoying it.

Anon, it's pretty common knowledge that they broke up. I also have Wiretap Scars, Sparta's first CD. It's really good, it would be in my top 15. You should check it out. And Audioslave sucks. Cedric of ATDI (the singer) formed Mars Volta, which is more chill music, they're good too.

I also like Thursday. Full Collapse was great for a while but I got sick of it waaaaay too fast. I still can't pop it in and enjoy it enough (and it's been half a year since I listened to it last). Their new EP is stupid, just live songs, but the one new song is incredible, their best yet. It's called Jet Black New Year, you should get it (if you haven't already).

I just had to download the yoshimi pink thingie song, and it was every bit as a horrible as I imagined it would be =]

Coldplay is very good, I read they would have broken up though after parachutes if it wasn't for "In my place". They already wrote that song and wanted to bring it out and one thing lead to another and that other thing lead to a rush of blood to the head...

Techmage, don't they have real restaurants where you live? Only mass-produced american crap? That's kinda sad...
