University Recommendations

I'm looking for some suggestions for American Universities that excel in the field of technology.

I've heard good things of M.I.T. and Caltech...

I'm in my last year of high school, so I have to worry about this kind of stuff now.

I'm thinking of taking a year off before University - anyone have any comments on that decision?

University of Central Florida is GREAT for Technology, and it's beautiful and easy to get into, has AMAZINGLY nice dorms. It was 72 degrees today outside, the coldest it ever gets in Florida is occasionally 30 degrees Farenheit in the DEAD OF NIGHT! Waking up to a melting freeze is about the coldest we get. That would probably be refreshing for a Canadian.
