Do I have to have WindowsXP Pro in order to "serve" a remote desktop connection? Or can I connect to my desktop in my room that only has WindowsXP Home from my Laptop which only has WindowsXP Home?

XP home also doesn't have IIS or PWS, nor can you use it to connect to a domain.

You can use XP Home to connect to a domain. Go to system properties and then computer name.

Ya, that's the thing, in the Remote section the only box that's there is something to the effect of "This computer can manually send invitiations for a Remote Desktop connection." ... I never found how how to send that invitation, either. There is also a remote desktop application in my accessories start menu, but it won't connect to any of my other machines. I'll try again later.
