I don't like the design. The Game Boy Advanced was cool because they basically strapped a screen on a controller.

That's it's problem. It'll be impossible for anyone over 13 and not freakishly small to comfortably play it.

I really like the gba design, and with an afterburner kit, the backlight isn't an issue. What I like about the sp edition is the lithium ion bat. that lasts 10+ hours with the backlight on. I get like 3.5-5 with afterburner on full on my gba. Probably still wait for the next major upgrade though before I get a new Gameboy.

P.S. my money says that the next gameboy with have a number at the end of the name.

ah Gameboy memories... Havent played with one since I sold mine to buy a PPC years ago. I was just too old for that kind of toy (the old GBC), and playing that Lotus clone over and over stopped being fun. (Gotta hate sprite cars)

yah, I like my PPC better then a Gameboy. I can play so many more games, and I can do various other things too...Like word processing. Lets see your gameboy do that. But I did see that "Afterburner" thing for GBA, and it does look pretty cool...If I had a GBA!

Damn, this GBA SP Classic NES Edition made me want to buy a GBA. Funky stuff, maybe I'll give in to the desire :)
The rerelease of SMB1 might be worth getting too, seeing as it's only around $20€.

You could always just use pocket nester and play those same classic games...
