AOL Instant Messenger's website, , has a commercial Pocket PC AIM app for $19.95. :x :x That's retarded. We shouldn't have to pay for it. There's probably another version somewhere available for free. I'll look.

AOL's UK site has it for free, and it seems identical to the one on the U.S. site.

I can;t stand AIM!!! use yahoo messanger or at least MSN... AIM is just "archaic" in my opinion.
both of the above can be found for PPC
1 + 1 = 3 for large values of 1.

It's not the software that make the instant messaging service. It's the number and type of people on it. All of my friends have AIM, I use AIM. I used to use ICQ because everyone had ICQ. MSN is annoying, it interjects itself all over Windows until I can't stand it. AIM with DeadAIM is good for me.

True but a can't stand AIM when I am logged into a computer at school constantly poping up. at least MSN stays down in the corner or you can shut it off... AIM is just anoying. I got all my friend to change either to Yahoo or MSN (Yahoo is better... have you seen the skinned backgrounds? They're awsome.)

Not to mention it runs on linux too (Yahoo that is). AIM is usable though (and on liux too.. not official though)... and yes the people you talk to do matter... it is up to you i guess.

See, I have the other problem. MSN keeps popping up on me. Every time I check my email, every time my computer starts, every time I logged on or connected to the network, every time I opened a passport site. Every time ANYTHING!

oh well.

Yeah, Gautam is right. The UK version is free. I found it on AOL's ftp site: .

The file that you see there has AIM for WinCE 2.11 (HPC and PSPC all cpus), as well as Pocket PC (also all cpus).

I have a newer version than that one on my hard drive, Octobor 20th as opposed to August 20th, and it's 0.03MB's smaller.

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

If you fart consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
