I discussed this with my chemistry teacher, and we broke down his earnings. He makes £24,000 per year, and he showed me that when things addedup, he made only £50 per month to spend on himself. All the rest went on living expenses etc.
He would suffer a huge difference in quality of life if he earned only £19,000 per year.
Like HobbesAB said, take your head out of your arse and experience real life before you come out with statements like that.
Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."
