Bypassing the ATI chip?

Is it possible for you 1337 pR0gR4M3r'5 to bypass the ATI chip on Toshiba devices? For example, a patch that simply omits it from the code? I know that the newer version of PocketTV allows you to do this, and it is very nice to have the option. I'm sure its hella complicated, but it seems possible.

I thought the new PocketTV takes advantage of the Imageon in order to get speed.

But other than that, I highly doubt it, as I've a feeling it would've been done by now if at all possible.
