IMHO, women and the army don't mix well. It's just easier if you have a group of men only, as opposed to a mixed group. Especially in situations like a submarine, or out on patrol somewhere or other. I'd rather have a man by my side then a woman. Sorry girls, no offense, that's just the way I am. Now, if women really want to be in the army, I won't stop them, but they should be measured by the same standards as men. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the service! I want the best of the best protecting my country, and not someone who just got there through "positive discrimination" or double standards.
Now, I want to balance that by saying that women are actually better at certain tasks then men; like flying combat aircraft. Because of their build, women are actually much better at withstanding higher G's then men. Also, because of the type of enviroment and the work they do, women as fighter pilots would work out very well, as opposed to female grunts.
