I use Opera. But I think we can all say there's no reason to be using IE.

Like Andy said, there no reason to use IE.

Tabbed environment, magic wand password wizard, quick search, all configurable and skinable environment, pop up stopper, a lot of shortcut, a real history, and even a transfet history, etc etc.
You are talking about using ctrl+click to open a new window. With opera you just have to use the middle mouse button.
Also in opera, all the pages load faster than ie. There is even a mode that keep all the layout, bu remove all styles(color, font size, etc) and pictures. It's really usefull to surf on the net with a slow connection.
But, for the spell checker... I don't think there is one... never used it (you can verify that in this post ;)

Anyway, I don't want to start a war :P But I'll have a look at this new broswer :)

P.S. My favorite useless feature is when I close a window and say: "Nooo, I close the wrong one", you just have to hit ctrl+z :P

Once you get used to Opera's mouse gestures, you'll never know how you got along without them. I occasionally have to use a computer with IE, and that extra tenth of a second (or whatever it takes) to go up and hit the back button annoys the hell out of me. In opera, you just hold down the gesture button (right mouse button for me), and move the cursor left.

I saw that firebird had a few mouse-gesture extensions; I'd definatly try them out.

Opera is supposed to be the "fastest browser on earth" (or was it the universe?). I'm not exactly sure what entitles it to that distinction, but it might be worth trying for those of us who are still using 56k -- ie, PM's Somalian residents.

Summary:
IE sucks -- and lets not even get started on outlook.

I use IE. I can't be bothered downloading anything else. My mouse has a hell of a lot of buttons on it. I don't even have to gesture. I've also got broadband. As far as I can tell, most of the sites I go to load just fine. I usually max out at about four windows, so a tabbed environment doesn't help me much either. I can't think of any reason not to use IE.
Truth is a possession.
