I just copied Quake off of a backup CD of old games that I have so that I could get the .pak files. I would be happy to bug test for you on my Jornada 720.

I also have the full version of Quake.  Actually I just got it.  Aslo, as soon as it works I am going to release it to everyone, since it's free, I have no reason to select just a few testers

Only one problem left to solve.  Ok, I decided to add the wrapper into PocketQuake.cpp seeing how it was there and not being put to much use.  All the functions appear to work fine (at least so far) except for GXGetDisplayPropteries<br><br>code in PocketQuake.cpp<br><br>extern "C" GXDisplayProperties GXGETDISPLAYPROPERTIES()<br>{<br>      return GXGetDisplayProperties();<br>}<br><br>code in win_sys.c<br><br>struct GXDisplayProperties g_dispProps;<br><br>//and latter on in the same file<br><br>g_dispProps = GXGETDISPLAYPROPERTIES();<br><br><br>And the error I get<br><br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\sys_win.c(737) : error C2115: '=' : incompatible types<br><br>I also get several other new warnings if this helps at all.  Here they are.<br><br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\sys_win.c(737) : warning C4013: 'GXGETDISPLAYPROPERTIES' undefined; assuming extern returning int<br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\sys_win.c(737) : error C2115: '=' : incompatible types<br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\sys_win.c(748) : warning C4013: 'GXOPENINPUT' undefined; assuming extern returning int<br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\sys_win.c(749) : warning C4013: 'GXGETDEFAULTKEYS' undefined; assuming extern returning int<br><br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\vid_ppc.c(621) : warning C4013: 'GXBEGINDRAW' undefined; assuming extern returning int<br>C:\My Documents\PocketQuake\WinQuake\vid_ppc.c(670) : warning C4013: 'GXENDDRAW' undefined; assuming extern returning int<br><br>Looking at there errors, I think that the files vi_ppc.c and sys_win.c do not know that my new wrapper exists.  Sould I declare the functions inside each of those to files?  Or sould I use a header that has declares those functions only without the extern "C"?  I will continue working, and await this last bit of help.

Sorry Guys, the screen shots will have to wait.  Virtual CE Pro trial doesn't like quake, so it keeps disconecting as soon as Quake starts to work.  Did you hear that, PQ works.  I was walking around and shooting stuff with my 720!  I may have sat at my computer constintly for the last couple of days, but it was worth it.  Here is the list of things that need to be done before quake is up to par.<br><br>1. Move the virtual pad to a better location.<br>2. Redefine the keys to better places (I don't know all of the key code for the 720, so some info on that would be appriciated.<br>3. Center or stretch the screen.<br>4. The dialog that gave everyone credit didn't appear in my first test, I'll have to look at that, and add my name to it ;)<br><br>If you would like a beta copy of this beta please post, and I will send it to you.<br><br>I'm off to go blow up some zombies.<br><br>P.S. I will send a copy of the virtual pad bitmap with it, because the top layer of buttons gets covered, but they still work.  You move with the arrows, and the rest is with the virtual pad for now.  And for those who said it couldn't be done, I would just like to say, you have no idea how much free time I have.  <br>By the way, could you take that Newbie lable off from under my name, and make it something like 720 porter.<br><br>Also, the GAPi nag screen only comes up once, so it does not affect gameplay at all.<br><br>I'm tempted to hex edit that messgage and make it the dedication, but then I'd be fined and that would suck.<br> <br><br>And posibly some other tweaks.<br>
