Making my hp 548 more friendly for me.

Postby Trae » Dec 9, 2001 @ 5:09pm

Hi, I am new to the Pocket PC fad, my brother who works for hp is getting a free 548 and sincehe has a 568 I am gonna throw out me M100 and use it. Now myquestions are: Is there a program that will make a start menu at the bottom of the screen (like wndows on you desktop? 2.Is there a program that will make my PPC run in landscape mode instead of portrait?
Thanks for any help :D

1. the start menu is at the top of the screen now - no need for a program.

2. hold in the scroller wheel, tap and hold the clock then click 'run' on the menu that appears. then type 'rotate r' and it'll rotate after a soft reset. you then need to hold in the power button for about 3 seconds so you can recalibrate the touchscreen.

to change it back just repeat the process.

All I have seen for the hp 548 is the crappy stow away keyboard but I want something that is small and compact (like the thumboards) so that I don't carry something compact then it fold out to be as big as a park bench. Something that could sit in my lap or smaller. Any help?
