Watcha Think?

Postby Chris Edwards » Jan 6, 2004 @ 5:54am

So, we finally updated the forums to the latest and greatest phpBB 2.0.x. We'd been running on a phpBB2 CVS snapshot from the pre-2.0 days. The update should fix quite a few bugs.

I had to redo the templates when I updated the forums... So enjoy the new look.

Any suggestions/comments/bugs regarding the forum upgrades should be posted here.

Also note that the date you joined in your profile should be a bit more accurate now. It looks at your first post it can find.

Well, the above post was me. I found a sort of bug; when I clicked "Login to Check...", then went to the Anything Discussion, clicked the URL posted in the "test" thread, and came here, I was suddenly logged out. I went back, logged in, and clicked straight on the Feedback forum and I'm still logged in. Weird.

Yea, I've been having recurring login problems again. Are you using Firebird?

Nice, no? I got a sneak preview a little while back... and I preferred the green version. ;)

Looks very strange with Mozilla 1.4 (white spaces too large, fonts too small)

Yes, my only grip is how small the fonts are now. Having a hard time reading this on a 19" monitor at 1280x1024!

Does this have karma? Also I think it sucks that we don't have our old sign up dates. It was easy to spot who was here before the move.

At first I didn't like the new look but I'm getting used to it. I don't like that the stuff below the post is highlighted instead of the post, makes it hard to tell them apart in my opinion.

Looks good. No problems on my end.

Edit: My join date is still the same. I looked for some of my first posts whining about getting Snails on the J525, couldn't find em. Oh well :)
