Jadam-
Look how long your posts are, you expect me to read through all of that rhetoric?
Make 'em short and sweet and you've got my attention.
Even if TapWave capitalized on streamlining it's OS, over 98% of it's current software is written for an older core and OS. So much for all that extra horsepower... I guess we'll have to wait for the next version of Bejeweled to tap into all that muscle.
My Clie plays 320x240 video as well, so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to Palm and Kinoma. If by Divx quality you mean dropped frames, and at the least, a clear picture during low motion scenes, then yeah, that sounds about right.
Regarding opening any file type, that's great, and about time. My Clie can read files from the Memstick, as can my Visor Deluxe. Unfortunately, only new software can take advantage of this, and as of now, that's not much outside of multimedia. So again, all the 19k+ software titles currently available for Palm don't mean squat on the Zodiac.
Your best bet would be getting a GP32 and hoping for a Palm emulator. At least that device was designed with actual gaming in mind, not simply the notion of doing so.
