Ok, I'll try it out. Do I just transfer the entire file to the PPC? Will it run from the memory card, or do I need to put it in the main memory?

Hi!

You need to :
1 download the MIPS.ZIP file
2 Extract it on your PC(with Winzip)
3 Copy all files from PC to a directory om your PPC
4 Move the "game.js" to the root of the PocketPC
filesystem

i haven't tested it on a storage card, but i
think it should work.
BTW you need gapi installed.

Don't expect to much, it it just a little
example i made in 5 minutes.

Oh, and i have only tested it on an IPAQ.
If the pictures look strange, could you check
if they show up right when you click on a gif file?

Thanks!

OK, I tried the mips version. First it wouldn't start, but then I copied the game.txt file to the pocketpc root folder, and it ran.

The first screen comes up, with the cow's tail swinging. But then when I tap on the cow nothing happens. Seems that it isn't getting any input from the touchscreen.

also, the pc version works fine. If there's one suggestion I have it's to make the picture fill the whole screen, and have the interface and text messages overlaid when needed.

It might look like this:

What is the root folder? And where do I get the GAPI file?
:-) Hope I don't sound too ignorant.

The root 'folder' is the 'folder' that contains all other folders on you pocket pc. This is similar to the c:\ drive on your PC, except that pocketpcs can only have one root folder.

In the default pocket pc file explorer the root folder is called "My Device".

As for gapi, you can get it . Run the self-extracter,It will extract a few folders. Open the folder corresponding to the type of device you have (mips=casio e125/115/em100/eg800, arm=ipaq or anything with PocketPC2002) and copy the gx.dll to your pocket pc's windows folder.

So do I understand this right? Pocket Adventures is an adventure game engine that users can make there own adventure games with? Also, is this similar to PocketFrog or EasyCE in that, we can use it to make retail games? Or can we just make freeware games with your engine?

No offense or anything, but a couple things I noticed.

1. After clicking everywhere and walking a bunch, the character stopped going where I clicked. I needed to restart the game and it happened again.

2. With it scrolling back and forth, it makes me feel dizzy.
