Moose, I am far less closed-minded than you. You seem to have a much harder time accepting those who are different than you than me (err... weird sentence). I am educated very well in one of the most open-minded families I know of. And just because you're feeling "fragile" cuz your college doesn't consist of people as intelligent and sophisticated as you doesn't mean we suddenly can't talk. How do you know you haven't given one of your snide remarks when someone else on this board wasn't in a fragile mood? Maybe they just didn't dedicate an entire thread making excuses for posts taking their anger out on others.
That being said, I'm sorry that you're in this mood, but all the advice I can give you is suck it up and stop thinking about the fast forward button. Just think about that wife and daughter you want, and how you will have to overcome more difficult obstacles than this to spoil them appropriately. So just suck it up, take the pain and make the best of it. Easy to say I know, but I've had to do it plenty of times, I'm not just talking out of my ass.
