Warren... 1984 and Animal Farm weren't glorifying capitalism. Animal Farm bashed communisim but didn't glorify anything, while 1984 didn't bash communism either.

Moose, did you even read the books? Don't just say they suck; give a reason.

And Warren, guess what? My parents had to endure communist Poland for 30 or so years and they didn't enjoy it as much as here. Seriously.

[edit] Heh... Animal farms... I need more sleep.[/edit]

Excuse me wrong: Clinton was a fuckin commie who damn near ruined the great economy Bush(old), and the republican congress set up. His "Public Medicine" bills, and commie welfare reform would have destroyed the nation. His failure to act at all on the stock-market's rise is what brought it down! It fell apart in the last days of the Clinton administration, not the opening of bush's. The drop off in intreast rates are all that's save us from all hell. When bush was finally elected(after gore's stunts) the market was up BIG.

Moose: NinethOption is quite correct. Also, as an addendum, the economy began to slump into recession in the last 4 months of Clinton's presedency. However, he more or less covered it up (much like Enron execs) so that noone would know.

His idealistic socialist principles are the cause of the mess you see today...in the following ways:

1) He raised corporate taxes and increased tax stepping for the highest paid people in the country, thereby causing them to lose capital that they would have otherwise invested.

2) He allowed 6 distinct terrorist attacks on America to go unanswered/

3) He allowed Iraq to violate the terms of their 1991 surrender to the U.S.

You know, for someone who always says that people should back up their claims, your claims ring that much more hollow.
