Gamers: Watch out with Axim D-Pad

Postby David Horn » Dec 11, 2002 @ 1:15am

He doesn't get it, does he. Remind me never, ever to shake hands with him.
Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

I do get it, I just think it's inappropriate, and I liked NinthOption's idea that immatureness should be met with the same.

I'm sorry, I'm a humungous hypocrite lately...
how on earth is humungous spelled?

I take constructive criticism well. Mockery, however, is a building block of hatred.

I don't think there's a problem with them, I think it's just a production mistake, since the initial units at the kiosks were perfectly fine.

Thank you. I think I'm convinced enough now that it shouldn't be too much of a problem even if the d-pad is a litle quirky. I going to order the 400mhz flavor tonight. Good luck and godspeed... to me. :P

btw do you think they might port the tombraider game to non ipaq sometime or is there some sort of crack?

Officially, TR will NOT work on any non-iPaq devices. And with performance I had on my 3950, that's a good thing.

But I suppose if you buy a licence, and get the (I prefer to call it) unlocked :P version your not doing anything wrong.

There's a crack but it's "illegal." Don't ask where to find it because I'm not going to, if you know where to find pocketpc warez then you should be able to find it quite easily.

[EDIT] Ya, it runs horribly on my H3955, too. Must be 10 frames a second. PocketQuake runs MUCH smoother than Tomb Raider does, so use that as comparison.

OK. Just wondering now. How fast does PQ run on 300/400mhz xscales... Is it playable? What kind of fps do you get (with lowered details or whatever settings you guys use). Thnx for help so far.
