Creating an Ad-Hoc connection with two e740s

Creating an Ad-Hoc connection with two e740s

Postby Y2Kevbug11 » Dec 21, 2002 @ 9:09pm

As I mentioned in my previous thread, my friend and I are trying to link two Toshiba e740's via their Wi-Fi ports. I was planning on using IR to chat, sort of like AIM with mobile devices.

Someone here suggested using the wifi port since the range is much larger. I liked the idea, but I have no idea how to establish that connection.

How do you do an Ad-Hoc connection so that you can chat between two people?

Thanks in advance.

It's not that big a deal, I will just use the IR chat until I can get us both a BlueTooth card.

Thanks everyone for the "help" (and boy is that a double-edged sword)

Yeah, he's right, it's for the Bluetooth enabled models only. He coulda said it in a less self important way, but still on page 9-24 of the owners manual, it says bluetooth only, my bad.
