Nippon!

Actually Switzerland didn't join the EURO, they are still using the CHF. This doesn't make sense because the Swiss Bank does all the big money changing stuff, and they still have to convert CHF and EURO. I like the £ and driving on the left, they drive on the left in Japan, and I didn't see much of a difference. The Pound is powerful, the same with the CHF (Swiss Franc). But anything is still better than the boring American dollar. GO YEN!Last modification: Warren - 01/06/02 at 14:57:40

"The Simpson's Go To Tokyo" was just on FOX, hilarious! The toilet was funny too.

I'm really disturbed how anti-american you guys are. America is not a bad place. And as far as Japan being more technologicaly advanced, well thats to say the least argumental. And Warren, you have to remember that Japan was not always such a "happy" place. Infact the U.S. has contributed greatly to Japan's current status. Also they can have fancy toilets and video phones because there country is the size of one American state and when a govenment has fewer mouths to feed, everybody gets to be wealthy. I wish people were a little more objective, instead of seeing everything in black and white. Last modification: TechMage - 01/09/02 at 18:37:26

Umm, don't you know that Japan is about the size of Florida, WITH 128,000,000 PEOPLE IN IT!! That's half the population of the US, and the same population as all of Russia! They have rice patties in between buildings because there's no place else to put them! They did not get rich from "fewer mouths to feed", because they have no place to grow the food. *thinks about the giant fish market and the gross raw octopus sample I ate off the street...mmmmmm*

It is true that Japan has not always been a happy place, I'm glad I wasn't there when the US dropped the big 2 bombs on them, and when the people when crazy and did kamikaze missions and killed a lot of people in Manchura, China. But if you go there now, you can clearly see that the people want to forget that past, and gravely condemn all of what Japan did during WWII. I just hope it stays the way it is now.

Hey, me and my family are planning on taking a vacation in the summer, but can't decide on where to go (no, we're going back to Japan...). We will be going to London to visit a friend, and stay with him for a few days, but then we ditch him and go somewhere else. Here is the list of canadates. My dad wants to go to Moscow, but I would like to see more of Europe before going to Moscow. My mom wants to go to Prague, and that I agree with. She would also like to go to Paris from the Chunnel, which is good too. My dad also wants to go to Stockholm, Sweden. We can only choose one of these places. My mom and dad also agree on Frankfurt, Germany, and I do too. So far, my best choice would be Stockholm, and am leaning my dad to Stockholm, and my mom is also starting to lean to Stockholm, and my sister doesn't even know where Stockholm is. She's stupid, so her opinions don't count, but she wants to go to Paris of course. So here's the list of canadates in order that I'd like them. Stockholm, Prague, Frankfurt, Paris, Moscow. I know Shapeshifter lives in Deutschland, and Bjorn lives in the Nederlands. What place do you think is the best? During the next winter, we're planning on goin' to Bangkok (yes, it is a hilarious name).

Oh, and as you can see, I chose a Japanese chic as my avatar. I am not a girl, and well, by now you know why I chose a Japanese chic... ;-)

I'd suggest Prague. Although Deutschland ist sehr gut. Bayern is a nice place... just don't eat the Leberkäs (I almost typed Lederkäs  , hehe... don't eat that either :P). Well... Leberkäs is Bayern's specialty, but it's cheese liver, just so you know.

Oh, and she's not Japanese, she's Korean. She even say so in the tv show. But Warren, EMAIL ME! if you want some pics of nice Japanese girls (yes, fully clothed, I'm not a pervert) for your Avatar.

Fascinating. I don't know enough German to really make any sentences. Spätzle is a buttery wiggly noodle, pretty good, and pretty fattening, 90% butter, 10% noodle! Well, I'll be sure to get all that stuff if I go to Germany (for me, not you). That is if I go to Germany. It seems more likely that I'll be going to Sweden, but of course they have similar cuisine in Sweden and Denmark as Germany. Deutschland sounds better than Germany; how'd we ever get "Germany" out of "Deutschland"? Deutschland in French is l'Allemagne.
