They are not, no matter what, like "real" dogs. You can never convince me otherwise, and I'm not alone. Seriously, try telling your friends that you just got a robotic dog and see how many respond "Why?"

As for malteses... Don't cut them like gay little puppies and they're really cool. I have one too, and it has what's called a "puppy cut", where it's just shaggy and not all foofed like that. They're great dogs.

It's nothing at all like a real dog. Thinking that is utterly stupid. What pisses me off the most is the fact that people buy these stupid pieces of crap in place of a real dog, when there are tons of willing animals in adoption centers.

The AIBO is a R&D project taken way too far.

I want one of those robot vacuum cleaners... what are they called? The Roomba? Now they're cool and useful. And after all I name the little skimmer dude in my pool, Roomba could be like a pet! You should get a roomba. It will provide you with love and affection while keeping your house free from dust bunnies! Mans best friend? You bet! The Roomba, batteries not included.

there's a robotic vacuum, don't know if that's what you had in mind, it looks so thin, I'd trip on it every once in a while I had it.

I think those robotic dogs give a sense of fakeness to a person's life, I mean even if in "Flubber" Robin Williams had only robots, and least he got Flubber in the story, someting organic and lively.

I like lurcher dogs! Cute

Well, judging by that picture, you look exactly like a gecko. Are you sure you don't have a higher-res picture at hand? Then we could make a final judgement.
