The Radeon 9700 runs loops around the Radeon 9800? WHAA?

BTW, the Matrox Parhelia has 256-bit RAM, and the FX5900 Ultra will come out soon and that will have 256-bit too.

[oops, made a mistake; the parhelia core's 512-bit while the ram's 256-bit]

so... on one test on the lowest resolution (which are known to use the CPU more than the graphics card), and you come up with this statement that the 9700 "runs loops around the 9800 in some tests." 3 FPS is loops? One test is some tests?

Actually I saw is somewhere else, I will try to find out what place I was I saw, it was more than 3 FPS there. I also didn't say that it was in any specific resolution or that what I gave was the only example.

The difference is negligible, and probably could be remedied by closing a background application or service or a driver update.

It beats it in some cases there, too. Still not the place I first saw it though.
