Ahhh, thanks, that site was very helpful. Now, there's this part that says:

"However, in the last forty years, new engineering programs were developed :

-some engineering curricula recruit students at the Baccalauréat level (most of them without a special exam), and give them a 5-year training"

I read on INP's website that they offer a 5-year program, could this be the same thing? Where the university gives you the CPGE stuff? The site says that most CPGE is at High School (Lycée). It would perfect if this were true, then I could just go to INP and though most people would not be in the 2 years prepatory, I would probably get more one-on-one with teachers. That's what I want to, if I go to INP right after Lycée, and go into the 5-year program (which is basically the same as CPGE [2] + INP [3]), then that would settle everything.

I still have a year to decide on all this... I'm also looking at Cambridge University in England, they're in English at least...but not as exciting as France . Plus, I'd want to live on the mainland if I were to move to Europe.

yes sure, but then you'll have to stay for 5 years ? I've never heard of exchange students staying 5 years in a school

but that's interesting, perhaps they have some kind of mixed program that the exchange students can join - I wasn't aware that public engineering schools had that kind of "prépa intégrée" mechanism (and I'm french, see how fast our school system evolve )

I found it! "INPG also has a 2 year preparatory class programme". I searched for quite a while, then realized it was on the FRONT PAGE! http://www.inpg.fr/INPG/US/index.html Just read the little paragraph, they say they offer their own 2 year prepatory thing. Oh, and I won't be an "exchange student", I'll be a foreigner moving to France. I'm entirely planning on staying in Europe after college, so you can say that I'll be an "aspiring citizen" of France and Europe.

Oh, my, God ... that website has the exact same color scheme as PocketMatrix

OMG! The dark blue is EXACTLY the same!! Freakish... perhaps an omen...

On closer inspection, PocketMatrix's dark blue seems just slightly lighter than INP's website.

oh OK ... perfectly clear with this little drawing ... think I'll keep it bookmarked then it's something special to obtain a master, done by the INPG group and not a special school in the INPG - should be well suited to foreign students ... sorry for troubling you with my prépa horror stories

HELP! I'm trying to write an e-mail to INPG, but whenever I send it (I've tried 2 different e-mail addresses), it doesn't work, saying that the letter is undeliverable...AHHH!!!

First of all, YES, I do realize that this is the 4th post in a row by me...

Now, being in the US, we have basically ZERO information about European/foreign colleges. So, I'm asking all the Europeans, like Shapeshifter, Refractor, Accolon, Paul (is Paul still around?), Arisme, MZGuy, David Horn, chriva404 (is he still around?), Robby, Mike Wagstaff, PDAFantast, etc., what are some good European colleges for engineering? I heard that there are some in Europe that teacher all their classes in English, is this true? Thanks.

Well, I think there are schools where you could get all-english education here, since so many students in schools like the Helsinki University of Technology has so many foreign students. And looking at their I can see that they offer some study programmes entirely in English, so yup, many "colleges" in Europe offer the same AFAIK.
