This is the FP Monitor that I have (well actually it's my grandparents, but I use it). It came with this new compaq that we got a few months ago. I love it! Infact I hate using my old compaq now (which is mine), because even though they are both 17", I can't stand the rounded CRT screen anymore, after using this nice flat screen.

By the way, I was wondering, are the UXGA 15" LCDs any good, or is everything too small to be practical?

I can see it fine sitting back in my chair from like 3 feet away.

It varies from person to person I guess... Go into a best buy or something and take a look at the laptops and see what you like best for a screen..

I have the Dell Ultrasharp UXGA LCD in my laptop, and it rocks... It's bright and funky... It'll be interesting to see how this other LCD compares to it.

Hey Chris, I hope you haven't bought it yet. If I were you, I would wait around at www.bensbargains.net for awhile first, they always have insane deals on those Dell flatpanels. They had a deal on that one for $359 American not too long ago. I dunno if Dell US would ship to Canada, or honor, or if dell.ca would honor American deals though.
