I donno about that hole 25 fps deal , but 3fps more on quake is alot. The h1910 gets 6fps! That would be a 50% increase.
Any ways, PPC2k3 would make a speed increase even if it was small, but ppc2k3 is worth upgrading to for new software being optmiz for it, and new bt and wifi suport.

3 fps from 15 on the A620, which makes it a 20% increase. Nothing's linear here. There would be no 3fps increase on the ipaq, and fictional devices which played pq at, say, .0000000001 fps wouldn't have near-infinity percent increases in speed.

Okie... A few things.
If you bought an E740 at full price and are not pissed with Toshiba, please tell us your secret.
You say you got what you paid for.... I paid 700 bucks. I didn't get what I paid for.

Your concept of the people that are seeking an upgrade is VERY limited.
We don't ALL expect to run our GAMES faster.
My 3 games... Scrabble, Monopoly, and Solitaire run fast enough...
Some of us feel we deserve to be included in the loop. I figure the further ahead the technology goes while we stay behind the less an already deaf in one ear company will hear us.

If we stay as current as possible then they have no choice. In my personal experience it cost me a lot of blood sweat and tears to get my e740. Some of us techies actually live on a low income budget!!! So, Yes my ass is fighting to get upgrades. And free.

Actually, I don't know how much improved it is but I am hoping that they expand the networking/connections/wireless configurations area of the ppc's. That's what I use it for.
Do you really think ANY new upgrades are gonna come out for the ppc 2002 now that 2003 is out?
