Please, like I have anything against the French.

You're just not taking criticism very well at all. And now you're starting to make it into personal insults.

I give up trying to reason with you.

Cross-posting isn't going to help with anything either.

I've been following this bad review thing, and I wanted post a few comments.

First, I think that StephC has a right to be pissed off by the review, but you can't ask then to remove it, that's absurd.

It could have been written without the childish enveloppe of sarcasm, however the real fact is: Is the base facts they outline in their review true?

Having played the demo, my first gripe is that it's very short. I don't like the fact that the game closes after a couple of races. Especially since the load times on my 3850 are really long (even from main memory) makes this a real pain.

It doesn't take much playing to bump in some kind of invisible barrier, and yes, I've been stuck there until I bumped enough that I went back on track. A reverse button would be needed.

I've never played ANY mario games as I never owned any console, but I think I would enjoy a jump button. It might be a good idea, especially since the kart can already jump.

Nagging about the screen capture is irrelevant, IMO. It's not a part of the gameplay, but is there to help reviewer and people take shots. Yes, saving it as a PNG might have helped, but this is not a gameplay feature, so I don't see why going at it for so long. As I gamer I don't care about this.

Short compatibility list? Have you guys even tried it on a device not in the list? Chances are that if your device matches the basic specs, and given the fact that the game is supposed to work on all the devices listed, it will work. I'm not talking about speed here, as this does vary by a lot.

Basically, the review emphasized the bad things about the game, while it didn't say much about the good things. I usually hate racing games, but I think this one has tremendous potential.

Something else that I would like to see in "official" reviews is a "Return Email", where the reviewer would take the time to email the developpers to mention the bugs they found, then the reviewer would include comments in the review about the return email he received. It would be a real incentive for potential buyers to know that the developpers are interested in supporting their clients.

There you have it, an independant mini-review of the demo version. If the developpers would answer a single question I would ask, please answer this: Are the bugs mentioned in the review under the "Cons" table true? If so, are they being worked on or would I experience them in the full version?

I'm sure that Jason and Matt would be more than happy to re-review an updated version of your game, and re-evaluate the list of gripes they have with it.

Oh, and finally, get rid of that signature. It will do you more bad than good in the long run.

My 2 cents!

The basic problem here is that you guys tried to clone one of the best games for a 2d console system.

When you clone such a great game, people expect your clone to be at least as good or better. When there are flaws in it, it just hurts it immensely. This is the main reason I think your game got such a harsh review.

I can not believe how many forums you have posted in. With your previous post about not wanting to release demos because people will find the faults, and now this crazy rant all over the place, I don’t really want to buy any of your games.

The best games in the world are made by "GAMER" companies. These are not people who just make games, but they have a passion for creating games as well. From what I have seen, you guys are just programmers out to make some money and don’t really care how much fun people are going to have(which in my mind is the #1 goal).

The gamming community is what makes or breaks your games, I think you have taken a few to many steps toward breaking it.
