Half-Life 2 LEAKED

Half-Life 2 LEAKED

Postby sponge » Oct 2, 2003 @ 8:43pm

The source code to the source ENGINE has been leaked out to the internet, which includes HalfLife, HL2, TEAM FORTRESS 2 CounterStrike, and Steam are all included. No media though, so you can't play the game, but quite amazing nonetheless.

And how's the code? is it real neat and professionnal, or as lame as the FPS I'll be getting on my Athlon 2000 and GeForce 3? ;)

I'd like to get a look at this!

Both ports will most likely be very crappy though.

Wow, lucky for valve that game data wasn't leaked, but I wonder if there'll be lawsuits against the porting projects that are sure to appear, or if Valve's just gonna let it slip? People'd have to buy the data anyway, so Valve would get some free porting to other platforms done :) I hope they declare it GPL, but that could be bad for business.

Anyways, Dan, start workin' on PHL2! :P
