I'd expect something happening, since it includes the propietary Havok engine, which is quite a bit of money.

Quake 1 and 2 are GPL.

Like any GPL code, you can use them in commercial applications without paying. You just have to provide all your source code and otherwise follow the GPL license.

The art, music, and other assets are not GPL and remain the property of id Software.

id Software remains free to continue to license Quake 2 to other parties under other licenses than the GPL, which require payment and don't require source release.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

The min sysreq right now is around 1GHz I think. Or is that Doom III. I'm not sure.
